Government programs in supporting food self-sufficiency, especially rice, require efforts to increase sustainable rice production. To increase rice production and support food self-sufficiency is to maintain food security. The food estate program implemented in pandih batu sub-district, one of which is in belanti siam village is backgrounded because this village is one of the villages with the most rice production centers in Pulang Pisau district and has the potential to be developed because most of the people work as farmers. In the implementation of food estate activities involving farmers in processing land to harvest and the role of extension workers as informants and facilitators of farmers whose activities will be a stimulus for farmers to provide reactions or responses to the role of extension workers in supporting the food estate program. What is the performance and role of agricultural extension workers in supporting the food estate program in belanti siam village, pandih batu district? This research was conducted in Belanti Siam village, Pandih Batu District, Pulang Pisau Regency. The selection of the study site was carried out deliberately, the method of attracting respondents was carried out by cluster random sampling. The sample in this study was a farmer group that was incorporated into the food estate program with a total of 30 respondents. Farmers' perceptions of the role of extension workers in terms of the sub-variables of education, dissemination, facilitation, consultation, supervision, monitoring/monitoring and evaluation of farmer perceptions as a whole received a total score of 4,701, namely "playing a role". According to farmers, the existence of an extension worker in their village is very helpful because with the extension workers, farmers get a lot of knowledge, the ability to try, get a lot of help from the government and where farmers complain and get solutions to their crop problems and extension workers have carried out their roles and duties well.
