The problem of natural disasters in Indonesia is a problem that is a special subject of special concern for our current government. There are various factors that cause natural disasters such as climate conditions, weather, and natural factors of an area. The effects of these activities also have an impact on soil quality decline, erosion, flooding, and so on. The research was carried out in the city of Ternate. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive analysis of the spatial approach to know about landslide potential. In the medium class, the area is 20,212 ha, while in the high class the area is 62,428 ha. The impacting area is in the middle area class of North Ternate, central Ternate. While in the high area, namely southern Ternate, ternate island
