VIABILITAS BENIH KENARI (Canarium indicum L.) ASAL MALUKU UTARA

The study aimed to evaluate the viability of walnut seeds by hot water immersion treatment. The research was carried out at the Integrated Field Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung in late August - early November 2020. Treatment is prescribed in the Factorial Group Randomized Design (RAK-F). The first factor was hot water soaking time (no treatment, 10 minutes, 30 minutes) and the second factor was 22 walnut genotypes repeated in 3 repetitions so that 198 experimental units were obtained. The data was processed with Analysis of variance and continued with honest real difference test (BNJ) at the level of (α = 0.05%). The results showed that the interaction occurred and the G4 genotype (Ifa maidetibo) had the highest value in the variables of delta value, seedbed success, germination speed, germination, sprout height, sprout diameter and number of leaves at 10 minutes soaking.
