UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP DAN KETERAMPILAN MENGAMBIL KEPUTUSAN DENGAN MODEL CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING (CTL) SISWA KELAS VII-B SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 1 TERNATE

ABSTRAK. Keunggulan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan CTL adalah pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna yaitu memberikan kesempatan pada siswa untuk mencari pengetahuan yang dapat diterapkan mereka pada kehidupan yang nyata, siswa mampu berkomunikasi dan bekerja sama dengan baik, menumbuhkan jiwa sosial dan tidak dan tidak bersikap individual, materi ditemukan sendiri oleh anak dan bukan dari pemberian guru. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah, Bagaimanakah penerapan Model CTL (Contextual Teaching And Learning) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Ternate kelas VII-B pada pada Materi Pencemaran air? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Ternate  kelas VII-B  melalui penerapan Model CTL pada konsep pencemaran air. Peningkatan nilai hasil belajar IPA yang diperoleh pada saat posttest dibandingkan dengan hasil pretes, yaitu Nilai rata-rata posttest pada siklus I yaitu 71,4 dengan persentase siswa yang dinyatakan tuntas sebesar 63,9% dan peningkatan jumlah siswa yang dianggap telah tuntas yaitu sebanyak 23 orang. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest pada siklus II yaitu 78,28, dengan persentase siswa yang dinyatakan tuntas sebesar 97,2 %, dan peningkatan jumlah siswa yang dianggap telah tuntas yaitu sebanyak 35 orang. Dengan demikian, nilai rata-rata N-Gain pada siklus I dan II mengalami peningkatan dari 0,6 menjadi 0,6, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan rata-rata N Gain siklus I dan siklus II. Secara umum terjadi penongkatan hasil belajar dan kemapuan siswa dalam mengambil keputusan dengan sangat baik.

ABSTRACT. The advantage of learning by using CTL is a more meaningful learning that provides opportunities for students to seek knowledge that can be applied to real life, students are able to communicate and work together well, foster social spirit and not and do not behave individually, the material is found by children and not from giving teachers. The formulation of the problem in this research is, how the application of CTL Model (Contextual Teaching And Learning) can improve science learning outcomes of students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Ternate class VII -B on Water Pollution Material? The purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of science students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Ternate class VII- B through the implementation of CTL Model on the concept of water pollution. Increasing the value of science learning outcomes obtained at posttest compared with the pretest results, the average value of posttest in the first cycle is 71.4 with the percentage of students who expressed complete of 63.9% and an increase in the number of students who are considered to have been completed as many as 23 person. While the average value of posttest in cycle II is 78.28, with the percentage of students who expressed complete of 97.2%, and the increase in the number of students who are considered to have been completed as many as 35 people. Thus, the average value of N-Gain in cycles I and II has increased from 0.6 to 0.6, it can be concluded that there is an increase in average N Gain cycle I and cycle II. In general, the increase of learning achievement and students' ability to make decisions very well.
