Soil erosion is a form of land degradation that leads to the loss of soil and nutrients, resulting in economic consequences for agricultural land management. This study aimed to analyze the loss of phosphate (P) nutrients and the associated economic impact on farmers caused by soil erosion. The research was conducted at the Loto Agrotourism site in Loto Village, Ternate City. Collection pits were established at 12 observation points (LT01–LT12) to capture sediment transported by surface runoff and soil erosion. Soil analysis was performed at all observation points to determine P nutrient concentrations; subsequently, nutrient loss was calculated based on erosion rates. The economic value of the nutrient loss was estimated based on the cost of replacement fertilizers. The results showed that erosion rates varied across plots, ranging from a low of 0.0088 tons/ha at LT03 to a high of 0.3749 tons/ha at LT08. The highest P nutrient loss occurred at LT08, amounting to 0.01073 kg/ha of P2O5. The estimated economic value of the nutrient loss, based on P fertilizer requirements, was Rp 5,306,898. These findings highlight the extent of P nutrient loss at the Loto Agrotourism site, underscoring the importance of implementing soil and water conservation measures tailored to specific site conditions to mitigate erosion and nutrient loss.
