Abstract

ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on all aspects of life and affects the learning activities of school children around the world due to the lockdown. Children need to be given the understanding to prevent the transmission of COVID 19. The purpose of this activity is to determine the level of knowledge of students after being given online health education using videos. The activity was carried out online using a teleconference application at SDIT Tariq Bin Ziyad for two days. The results of the activity showed 64.29% of students washed their hands with running water, 28.57% washed their hands with hand sanitizer, 100% of students wore masks when leaving the house. The good knowledge category increased from 78.6% to 92.9% after the activity was carried out. Statistical results using the Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.157 (> 0.05), meaning that there was no significant effect of online health education activities on increasing knowledge of COVID 19 prevention. Health education using video needs to be done with certain modifications and assistance from parents or teachers so that students can improve COVID 19 prevention knowledge properly.
