Abstrak

Social dualism is historical phenomena in Ternate city society. One of dualism product is gouvernement onderdanen or gouvernement citizen.  It diferents with zelfbestuuren onderdanen or sultan citizen. They are in two contradictory positions. Apart of Dutch citizen who will not be discussed in article, government citizen consist of various categories that are christian society, chinas, Makassars, Arabs, and slaves.
