Potensi dan Prospek Pemanfaatan Lahan Pekarangan untuk Mendukung Ketahanan Pangan Bagi Masyarakat Kota Ternate

One of the national programs on food independence and security is the use of household yards which is part of the development of household food as an alternative in realizing food independence. This study aims to review the potential of yards in review from aspects of government policies or programs that have been carried out, namely the use of yard land to support food security and independence on a household scale. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research, the focus location of the research implementation is Ternate City. From the results of the study, it was found that before the use of yard land, the average income of respondents ranged from Rp. 500,000-Rp. 750,000. With the use of yard land, income increased by more than Rp. 2,000,000. This means that by utilizing yard land with food crops, it provides opportunities and potentials not only as aesthetic value, but yard land has economic value that can support the needs of the community.
