Model Guided Discovery Learning dan Kemampuan Penalaran Statistik Siswa SMP: Studi Kuasi Eksperimen

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) terhadap kemampuan penalaran statistik peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 80 siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP Islam Terpadu di Kabupaten Bogor. Sampel penelitian dipilih secara acak berdasarkan kelas, sehingga diperoleh kelas VIII-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data kemampuan penalaran statistik diperoleh melalui tes uraian yang telah memenuhi kriteria validitas dan reliabilitas. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan independent sample t-test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam kemampuan penalaran statistik antara kedua kelompok. Rata-rata nilai posttest peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol, yaitu masing-masing sebesar 73,31 dan 63,35. Ukuran pengaruh yang dihitung menggunakan koefisien eta squared (η²) sebesar 0,243, yang mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan model GDL memberikan pengaruh sedang terhadap kemampuan penalaran statistik peserta didik. Dengan demikian, Model GDL dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran statistik peserta didik.
