PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP KONDISI LINGKUNGAN SOSIAL EKONOMI AKIBAT DAMPAK ABRASI DI KELURAHAN RUA KECAMATAN PULAU TERNATE KOTA TERNATE

The phenomenon of coastal abrasion in Rua Urban Village (Ternate Island District, Ternate City) has led to changes in the social environment, thereby altering local lifestyles and livelihoods. This study examines community perceptions regarding the socio-economic environmental conditions resulting from this abrasion. The research aimed to assess these perceptions among the residents of Rua Urban Village. The study population comprised all residents of the village, and a snowball sampling technique was employed to recruit respondents incrementally until the target sample size of 30 was reached. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using a Likert scale. The results showed that 40% of the 30 respondents "strongly agreed," 39% "agreed," 12% "somewhat disagreed," and 9% "disagreed" with the statements presented; thus, it can be concluded that the community of Rua Urban Village generally perceives the socio-economic environmental impacts of the abrasion negatively.
