Abstract

Virus corona yang pertama kali muncul dan menyebar ke manusia berasal dari kota Wuhan,
China pada akhir Desember 2019. Setelah ditelusuri, ternyata beberapa orang yang terinfeksi
memiliki riwayat yang sama, yaitu mengunjungi pasar basah makanan laut dan hewan lokal di
Wuhan. Di Indonesia sendiri, saat ini sudah mencapai 8.607 kasus virus COVID-19 yang
terlacak dan 720 lebih masyarakat meninggal karena virus itu. Menurut Pusat Pengendalian
dan Pencegahan Penyakit (CDC) AS, beberapa gejala yang perlu diwaspadai akibat terinfeksi
virus corona SARS-CoV-2 yang menyebabkan Covid-19 setidaknya waspadalah saat Anda
mengalami demam, batuk dan sesak napas dan kekurangan indera penciuman. Tujuan dari
penelitian ini adalah Merancang system informasi geografis pemetaan penyebaran covid 19 di
Propinsi Maluku Utara
