Character education can be interpreted as a planned effort to make students know, care about, and internalize values so that students behave as human beings. There are several ways that can be done to preserve the environment, one of which is waste management by disposing of organic and inorganic waste groups. The aim of this activity is to improve education on appropriate technology for waste processing among students at SMP Negeri 12 Tidore Islands City. Caring about environmental behavior is something that must be instilled continuously through habituation. Aspects of environmental care that are developed in schools include the habit of maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of the school environment, providing rubbish disposal sites, getting into the habit of separating organic and inorganic waste, managing organic and inorganic waste, providing cleaning equipment. Empowering students at SMP Negeri 12 Tidore Islands City regarding holistic waste management is implementing good practices through various activities at school. Such as throwing rubbish in its place, teaching to sort and choose rubbish. Up to how to use waste that can still be used and become economic value. The younger generation has an important role in creating social and environmental change.
