RELASI MALUKU DAN PAPUA AUSTRONESIA DALAM LEGENDA GURABESI TINJAUAN AWAL

Abstract

Maluku and Papua’s cultural relation had been identified in past. Linguistical similarities and spatial condition. Gurabesi phenomena seem to Papua’s identification characteristic. It was stimulated by foreign especially “prosperity from west” concept on Papua’s pre colonialism notion. It could be identified as cargoism which occurred in south Pacific area that have many similiraties as mixed linguistical area both Austronesian and Melanesian. Cargo cults was influenced by foreign stimulant, so that 15th century Gurabesi legend could be seen with how Papuan self identified in cargo cults itself.
