EXPLORING THE STUDENTS' RESPONSES ON GENETICS LEARNING INTEGRATED WITH THE LILIAN CULTURAL VALUES OF MOLOKU KIE RAHA SULTANATE SOCIETY

This survey research was conducted to determine the response of students after participating in learning in the Basic Genetics course integrated with the local wisdom values of the Lilian culture of the Moloku Kie Raha Sultanate community. Learning was carried out using a practicum method using Student Worksheets specifically designed to improve mutual cooperation attitudes through the integration of Lilian cultural values. The learning material studied in this research was monohybrid crossing. The research was conducted in the even semester of the 2024-2025 academic year in the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Khairun University. The respondents of this study were third- and fifth-semester students enrolled in the Basic Genetics course. Data collection was conducted using a Likert scale questionnaire distributed to students via Google Forms. The research data was analyzed using a percentage formula. The research data on student responses to learning using the integrated practical method of Lilian cultural values obtained the following average scores: strongly agree 54.9%; agree 37.1%; neutral 12.9%; while disagree and strongly disagree obtained a score of 0%. The conclusion of this study is that genetics learning on the topic of single trait crossing is in line with the characteristics of students because it is integrated with the local wisdom values of Lilian culture of the Moloku Kie Raha sultanate, and genetics material on single trait crossing, which was initially considered difficult, became easier for students to understand.
