Soil erosion is a primary form of land degradation that causes the loss of topsoil and nutrients, posing economic consequences for agricultural land management. This study aims to analyze the soil erosion rate, nutrient loss, the economic impact of nutrient loss, and the relationship between rainfall, sediment, and erosion rates in the Loto Agrotourism area, Loto Village, Ternate City. The research was conducted from April to July 2026 utilizing 12 observation plots (LT01–LT12). Rainfall measurements were carried out using simple rain gauges, while sediment was collected using sediment traps. Soil analysis encompassed physical and chemical properties, whereas nutrient loss was calculated based on the erosion rate and the content of total N, P₂O₅, and K₂O elements. The economic value of nutrient loss was determined based on replacement fertilizer requirements. The results indicated that erosion rates varied across plots, with the lowest value recorded in LT03 at 0.0088 tons/ha and the highest in LT08 at 0.3749 tons/ha. The highest nutrient loss also occurred in LT08, with total N at 0.9373 kg/ha, P₂O₅ at 0.01073 kg/ha, and K₂O at 0.00612 kg/ha. The relationship between rainfall, sediment, and erosion rate showed a positive correlation with an R² value of 0.9114 and a highly significant relationship (p < 0.001). The economic value of nutrient loss based on replacement fertilizer costs was estimated at IDR 42,359,072. These findings highlight the importance of conservation management tailored to the specific conditions of each plot to effectively reduce erosion and nutrient loss.
