PENGARUH LINGKUNGAN SEKOLAH TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR GEOGRAFI DARI SISWA SMA NEGERI 3 TIDORE KEPULAUAN

Abstrak

This study aims to determine the influence of the school environment on the geography learning motivation of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Tidore Kepulauan. This study used a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. There are two variables, namely the school environment (variable X) and learning motivation (variable Y). The instrument used was a questionnaire containing 30 statements, along with observation techniques. The population of this study was all 72 grade XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Tidore Kepulauan. The sampling technique used saturated sampling, so the entire population was taken as the research sample. The data obtained through the questionnaire were then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and simple linear regression. The results show a significant positive influence of the school environment on geography learning motivation, indicated by a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.92. This was proven significant with a t-count of 12.58, greater than the t-table of 1.701, so the proposed hypothesis (H1) is accepted. The simple linear regression analysis produced the regression equation Y = -9.83 + 1.1X. In addition, based on the coefficient of determination, the influence of the school environment on students' learning motivation reached 84.6%.
