ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI MOTIVASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN GEOGRAFI FKIP UNKHAIR

Abstrak

Learning motivation is the drive or reason that encourages a person to engage in the learning process and to sustain that engagement until the learning objectives are achieved. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence the learning motivation of students of the Geography Education Study Program, FKIP Unkhair. This study used a quantitative method with descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. From a population of 52, a sample of 30 Geography Education students of the 2021 cohort at FKIP Unkhair was selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and multiple linear regression analysis with the F-test and t-test. The results show that the factors influencing learning motivation include intrinsic and extrinsic factors. The intrinsic factor has a positive and significant effect, with a t-count of 22.384, a significance of 0.001 (<0.05), and a regression coefficient of 1.889. The extrinsic factor has a negative but significant relationship, with a t-count of -21.163, a significance of 0.001 (<0.05), and a regression coefficient of -1.924. Intrinsic and extrinsic factors simultaneously influence learning motivation, with an F-count of 280.766 and a significance of 0.001 (<0.05); thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
