Jurnal Edukasi is a journal published by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Khairun. The name Edukasi was chosen so that all lecturers' research articles oriented toward teaching and learning could be accommodated, whether in the exact sciences, the social sciences and humanities, or language studies. Jurnal Edukasi was first published in 2007, following the issuance of its p-ISSN (1693-4164) by PDII LIPI under Decree No. 11.443/JI.3.02/SK.ISSN/2003.

For 13 years, Jurnal Edukasi was published in print only. In 2020, encouraged by the Faculty leadership and through the efforts of the journal management, an electronic ISSN was proposed, and the journal obtained its e-ISSN (2715-8551) under Decree No. 0005.27158551/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2020, and moved to the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform on the E-Journal Unkhair portal.

In its print version, Jurnal Edukasi was published twice a year, in January and June. When the e-ISSN was proposed, PDII LIPI recommended changing the publication schedule to May and October. Accordingly, since Volume 19 (2021), Edukasi has been published in May (Issue No. 1) and October (Issue No. 2). This change was agreed upon by the Editorial Board based on the recommendation of PDII LIPI.
