Plagiarism Policy
PLAGIARISM CHECKER
Jurnal GeoCivic is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of every manuscript submitted for publication.
All submitted manuscripts are subject to a plagiarism and similarity check before proceeding to the peer-review process. The plagiarism check is conducted using an appropriate plagiarism detection or similarity-checking tool.
The similarity level of a submitted manuscript should be no more than 25%. Manuscripts with a similarity score exceeding 25% may be returned to the authors for revision or may be rejected, depending on the nature and extent of the similarities identified.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and that all ideas, quotations, data, and information taken from other sources are properly cited and referenced.
The similarity percentage is not the sole basis for determining plagiarism. The editorial team may examine the sources and nature of the similarities identified in the similarity report to determine whether they constitute plagiarism or acceptable similarity, such as properly cited quotations, references, common terminology, or standard methodological expressions.
Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts when necessary and ensure that the final version complies with the journal's academic integrity and publication ethics standards.
Maximum Similarity Index: 25%
