Publication Ethics
The code of ethics that must be adhered to by authors who intend to publish articles in Jurnal GeoCivic, Universitas Khairun, is as follows:

Authors must uphold academic integrity, morality, responsibility, and honesty throughout the research, writing, submission, review, and publication processes.

The submitted manuscript must be an original work of the authors and must not contain plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or any other form of academic misconduct.

Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy and validity of the data, information, analysis, and research findings presented in the manuscript. Data must be obtained and reported in an honest and responsible manner.

The manuscript must be relevant to the focus and scope of Jurnal GeoCivic, particularly research and scholarly studies related to Geography, Geography Education, Civic Education, socio-spatial studies, regional studies, and other related fields.

Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. The manuscript submitted to Jurnal GeoCivic must not be under consideration, review, or publication by another journal.

Authors must not engage in duplicate or redundant publication. A manuscript that has been substantially published elsewhere, either in print or electronic form, may not be submitted as a new manuscript to Jurnal GeoCivic.

All sources used in the research and manuscript must be properly acknowledged and cited. Authors are responsible for ensuring that quotations, ideas, data, theories, and other intellectual contributions from other sources are appropriately referenced.

Authors must provide accurate information regarding authorship. Only individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, research, analysis, writing, or revision of the manuscript should be listed as authors.

The order of authorship must be agreed upon by all authors before the manuscript is submitted. Changes to authorship after submission or during the review process must be approved by all authors and justified to the editorial team.

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the research, interpretation of findings, or publication of the manuscript. Any financial, professional, institutional, or personal interests relevant to the research should be transparently declared.
Any violation of these publication ethics may result in appropriate editorial action, including rejection of the manuscript, withdrawal of the manuscript from the publication process, correction, retraction of a published article, or other measures deemed necessary by the editorial team in accordance with accepted standards of scholarly publishing.
